By having interconnected smoke alarms installed in each bedroom of your home, you’re providing enhanced protection to your loved ones and your property in the case of a fire.
When one alarm is triggered, all alarms in the property will sound – providing earlier warning to any fire hazards.
Comply with upcoming QLD Legislation for owner occupiers:
All owner occupied dwellings in Queensland have until January 2027 to ensure they comply with the same legislation that is already applicable to rental properties and properties being sold. A core part of this requirement is that your property must have interconnected photoelectric alarms in all bedrooms, hallways or between areas containing bedrooms and all storeys of the property.

How many alarms do I need installed and how much will it cost?
Pricing is based on the number of alarms required to be installed – which is determined by the number of bedrooms and storieys in the property as well as the location of bedroom exit points. You can find out how many alarms you need and the cost by using our online quote and booking tool.
Inspect & Maintain Smoke Alarms
Year-Round Home Protection Subscriptions
Our affordable annual subscriptions help to keep your home and family protected all year round. The subscriptions include an annual inspection of smoke alarms as well as ongoing support whenever you need it. We have two subscriptions- one for properties WITH interconnected alarms installed in each bedroom (Ultimate Package) and one for those WITHOUT interconnected alarms (Platinum Package).
Both subscriptions include:
- Annual inspection, test and clean of all smoke alarms installed in the property.
- Compliance report following each inspection.
- Ongoing access to our 24/7 Emergency Service for sounding alarms.*
- Complimentary re-attendance for beeping or faulty smoke alarms requiring attention.
Ultimate Subscription: $129 per year
For properties WITH interconnected alarms in each bedroom.
Under this service:
- New Interconnected alarms are installed at $124 per alarm where required.
Platinum Subscription: $119 per year
For properties WITHOUT interconnected alarms in each bedroom, where there is no requirement to meet 2022 QLD smoke alarm legislation.
This service includes:
- Free installation or replacement of smoke alarms when found to be missing, damaged, faulty or expired and required for compliance. We will install on a like-for-like basis

Includes our 24/7 Emergency Service*
If there are sounding alarms in your property, you call us at any time and our team will troubleshoot the issue.
Once-off Inspection Service: $100 per visit
We will attend your property to inspect, clean and maintain all existing smoke alarms. If we find that your property is compliant, we will issue you a certificate. If rectification work is required to make the property compliant, we will provide a quote for any additional fees.
Includes:
- Replacement 9 volt batteries where required,
- Testing of decibel output pf each smoke alarm installed in property.
- Check to ensure alarms have not passed their expiry date.
- Cleaning of alarms and checking they meet Australian Standards.
- Compliance report following inspection.
